Antique Quilt c1860s Double Pinks & Cheddar
A colorful, clean, crisp quilt whose pattern is a variation of the Open Barn Door. Light batting; hand quilted, perfect for the spring and summer months. The cotton fabrics used range from c1850s through 1875. The reasons we love this quilt are the double pink fabric and the rich cheddar. Another reason is the backing fabric, a fascinating print with stirrups and riding crops.
There is some light fray along some bits of the edges. One of the fabrics used in certain blocks is wearing thin, most likely due to a particular dye or make-up of thread composition. 85" X 71 1/4"
