SOLD * A fine set of three working duck decoys from c1930-50s, found in an old Adirondack hunting camp near Lake George, upstate New  York.  Carved and painted with primitive character ~  they could qualify as folk art.  Each has a moving head and the original wood stake to set into the ground.  The stakes each have one hole in them near the point for easy storage.  The ducks' heads are on wood pegs and each one swivels up & down smoothly.  Details are painted on and the paint is the original.  The eyes especially are very nice ~ simple yet with a perkiness to them.

The painted surfaces are overall evenly and nicely worn by age and normal use; the color has not faded.  The carved wood has no cracks or holes, no chips or rot.  These decoys can be used again and again as intended, or they can be decoration with punch in your cabin, cottage or castle.  Each duck: 15" tall with head extended upright; 16 1/4" wide; 1/4" thick.
