SOLD * Ring of Rose & Green Gold Grape Clusters, Natural Amethyst, Pearls c1930s

SOLD * Delicately worked rose gold mount is set with a natural amethyst gemstone and detailed with seed pearls.  At the ring's shoulders, clusters of grapes  are meticulously worked in 10kt rose gold with green gold accent leaves.  The ring's design shows an Art Nouveau influence.  Made c1930. 

The prong set amethyst has deep, rich color.  The pearls are white with skins in very fine condition.   Marked  I.C.& S 10K inside the band.  IC&S is the hallmark of jewelry makers Castagnetta & Son, New York.   All in excellent condition.  The amethyst is about 8mm x 5mm; the pearls 1mm.  American size 5; British J 1/2; Japanese 9.
