Carved Bone Pointer In Hand Form~ Tulip Design

  • Details

This c1900 bone pointer looks to be Anglo-Indian made.  The deep carving in the bone is beautiful.  A repeat tulip pattern runs up the body and the hand has realistic detail.  Traces of madras work define the patterns.

Condition is very fine. The bone has darkened somewhat with age and there is minimal wear from light use.  All in all, an elegant and unique desk accessory.  And as a plus, aside from looking wonderful it will help you point others always in the right direction.   About 14" long.  Questions?  Email anytime.
