Dinner Ring in Gold and Rhodochrosite c1930-40
An exotic design made in the finest materials make this ring irresistible. It dates to the 1930s-40s and was made in Great Britain. The gold is marked but the mark is too rubbed down with time and wear to be readable. It does have ct following a number and the number looks like either a 15 or 18. The ring was professionally tested as 18kt, but because we can’t make out the mark, we are pricing it as 15kt and calling it 15-18kt. The stone is a beautifully veined rhodochrosite, its pretty rose color accented with fine bands of creamy white. Framing the stone is a garland of posies, like little golden morning glories. They were made to be charmingly askew, as if a breeze were wafting through them. In remarkably fine condition, eager to be worn once again. You can wear this ring in complete confidence. American ring size 7 ¾; British ring size P 1/2; Japanese ring size between 15-16. Can be resized by your jeweler. *An interesting note about rhodochrosite: called the stone of the compassionate heart, it is the quintessential gemstone of love and compassion. Folklore has it that it heals old wounds and makes it possible to love oneself and others unconditionally.
