Early Victorian Theorem Pin Keep c1820-40

A small masterpiece ~ this floral painting on velvet covers front and back of a geometric form pin keep.  A beautiful gilt paper surrounds the keep.  In lovely condition with only a small amount of minor loss to the paper surround, surprising for such a delicate piece made so long ago.  Originally for a lady's sewing basket, from an impressive Georgian/Victorian collection of upscale sewing items.  Most likely made in England. 2 1/2"L X 1 1/4"W.
