Locket in Sterling Silver with Guilloche Enamel c1900
A beautiful silver locket brooch. Sterling silver in an unusual shield/drop shape, decorated with pearly guilloche enamel and topped off with a lovely little watercolor rose. The back is enscribed in fancy Victorian script R E D.
Original pin & c-clasp at back, in good working order. Removable bezel lies inside, under which you put a picture or token of a loved one. Both sides of the interior have the original thin cover. It looks and feels like mica, which was used a lot before glass.
Marked on interior twice with STERLING and twice with R. MFG. CO. Easy to open and shuts securely. A note about opening: the hinges are on the right as the locket faces you. Open from the bottom widest corner on the locket's left, as it faces you.
A shade over 1 1/2"L X 3/4"W. Free USA shipping; handling fees waived for international shipping.
