    A heart filled with natural Persian turquoise cabochons and seed pearls, set in an 18kt yellow gold ring.  This lovely, early sentimental piece of jewelry dates to pre-Civil War era, c1850s.  Bold in design, the heart is substantial,  measuring 10mm X 10mm.

    Turquoise has a long history in jewelry design and is strong in symbolism, representing friendship, love, joy, tranquility and patience.  Pearls symbolize purity and serenity.
