Soaring Crow Folk Art Carved & Painted Mid-20thC
A handsome fellow, this fine crow was hand carved and hand painted in c1940-60. He is home made and primitive and that is a large part of his appeal. With a wing span of 42" and height about 16", he'll need a big spot for a perch. Made of solid knotty pine 3/4" thick, he is thankfully not as heavy as he would have been if made of oak or other heavy wood. He weighs between 3 and 4 pounds. He's a charmer. I love him especially for his mellow gold detail. Hanging wire on back is old, probably the original wire, and it's held on with two old screw eye hooks.
