Victorian Dog Collar
A handsome dog collar from the 4th quarter 19th century. It is thick leather, brass and silver plate. In need of care. The leather will benefit from cleaning and moisturizing; the silver plate is worn; the brass could stand a polishing. The name plaque is amateurishly enscribed Carillon, and other figures or letters are also there, but can't be deciphered. This is a fine antique dog collar and if put to rights, could be trusted to be used as intended. It also displays beautifully on its own. Adjustable.
