Antique Victorian Revival Sterling Silver Chatelaine Needle Case

A feminine sterling silver needle case on a chain to hang from a chatelaine or a housekeeper's belt. Dating to the mid-20th century Victorian Revival period, the case is marked 925 for Sterling Silver. It has also been tested as such. A chain is attached to the top of the case other has a ring to both the top and the body of the case Victorian fashion, from a chatelaine or a sash or belt, or from a ribbon around the neck. Rich deeply chased silver in an opulent design on the case body. A hanging right dangles from the end. 2 5/8" long. In excellent condition. A gentle polish would bring the case back to original shine. I don't as a practice polish silver, as there are many who prefer it with the rich patina earned over the years. Perfect gift for the sewing lover, or if you're like me, you like to give yourself a present once in a while. Looks beautiful in a collection and it is also highly useful!
