An exciting example of the American folk art form, memory vessels. Found especially in the South, a bowl, jug or other sort of vessel would be covered with trinkets memorializing a certain person. This particular memory piece is a yellowware bowl covered in colorful bits and bobs. It is beautifully preserved and dates to the early 20th century. Wonderful colors with a Native American feel. Top diameter 9”; bottom diameter about 3”; stands about 4 ½” high.
